How Offline Access Works

PanoView Editor incorporates an offline-aware architecture. The plugin retains verified entitlement records locally so normal temporary loss of connectivity does not mean immediate loss of access to your editing tools.

Local Authorization Cache

When your trial or lifetime license is verified online, the plugin securely stores the verified status on your computer. Photoshop can access this authorization even if the network is disconnected.

Trusted Time Protection

The licensing system includes integrity checks to ensure system clock reliability. This preserves consistent trial duration tracking and protects authorized usage without requiring continuous server pinging.

Field & Studio Ready

Working on location, on airplanes, or on restricted networks does not interrupt verified active editing sessions.

02

What You Can Do Offline

As long as your locally recognized entitlement remains in valid standing, your offline capabilities match your standard working environment:

Available While Retained Entitlement Is Valid
  • •Extract Perspective Views: Trigger Edit This View at any orientation and field of view to create PSB Smart Objects.
  • •Apply Retouching Changes: Reverse-project layer adjustments back to the equirectangular panorama using Apply View Edits.
  • •Generate Perspective Documents: Export standalone compositions via New Doc.
  • •Interactive 360 Inspection: Pan, zoom, and inspect full equirectangular documents without restriction.

PanoView Editor does not promise indefinite disconnected operation. Depending on your current entitlement state, the plugin will eventually require periodic online verification to confirm license status.

03

When Online Verification Is Required

When the cached access state indicates that an online check is necessary, PanoView Editor transitions to the Check Required state.

Understanding "Check Required"

A Check Required notice does not indicate that your license has been cancelled, invalidated, or billed. It simply means that PanoView Editor needs an internet connection to confirm your entitlement with the licensing service before protected production operations can continue.

While in Check Required mode, 360 panoramic preview and orientation inspection remain functional. Once an online check completes, full editing capabilities resume immediately.

Reconnecting

When you regain internet access after an offline session, use this straightforward reconnection sequence:

1

Restore Internet Connectivity

Connect your computer to Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or mobile hotspot.

2

Open PanoView Editor

Bring the PanoView Editor panel forward in Photoshop.

3

Choose "Refresh Access"

Click Refresh Access to initiate an entitlement check.

4

Verification Confirmed

The status updates to Lifetime or Trial, and protected production operations unlock immediately.

05

Offline vs Inactive States

It is important to clearly distinguish between being temporarily disconnected and having an inactive entitlement:

Temporarily Offline (Cached Entitlement)

Your installation is disconnected from the internet, but holds a valid local cached authorization. All protected editing features remain usable.

Full Access
Check Required

The plugin needs a fresh online confirmation of entitlement before continuing protected operations.

Verification Needed
Expired or Revoked

The trial has concluded or entitlement is no longer valid. Disconnecting the internet does not bypass license expiration.
